Recreational Sports Update - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Recreation Center is closed until further notice in preparation to serve as an alternate care site for the Monadnock region, which is served by Cheshire Medical Center. Collaboration for the effort also includes the City of Keene, Monadnock Community Hospital, Greater Monadnock Health Network, and New Hampshire National Guard.

The rec gymnasium in Spaulding Recreation Center will provide capacity of up to 200 beds to be used in the case of a surge in cases of COVID-19. If needed, the space will be used by COVID-19 patients who can be cared for, and recover, outside of a hospital setting, and who need to remain in quarantine.

Recreation Center Hours - Academic Year (All Areas Except Pool)

Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-11 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Pool Hours - Academic Year (subject to change)

Monday-Friday: noon-1 p.m. - Lap Swimming
Monday-Thursday: 7:30-9 p.m. - Lap & Rec Swimming
Saturday & Sunday: noon-4 p.m. - Rec & Family Swimming
(The pool will be closed if two lifeguards are not available.)

ID and Membership Cards

Owl ID Cards or Membership Cards must be presented to the front desk staff each visit and pool passes or membership cards to the lifeguards each visit to the pool.

The Keene State College Recreation Center and Pool are open to KSC full-time and part-time students and Recreation Center membership holders (faculty, staff, alumni and Continuing Education students, or their spouses/partners who have purchased one of these memberships) and to restricted membership holders with the Walking Track/Group Fitness or the Pool memberships. Individuals can sign up for a membership at the front desk of the Recreation Center. KSC alumni must present an alumni card to the desk staff when signing up for a facility membership.

Guest passes are available to students and to Recreation Center or Pool membership holders, but are limited to one guest per visit at a charge of $5.00 per guest. Guests must be 18 years or older to work out in the facility.

Recreation Center and Pool members are limited to five guests per semester to use facilities in the Recreation Center.

Spouse/Partners of KSC Recreation Center or Pool members or students must register for one of these membership options to use the pool; they will receive a membership card. Child passes are available for children, age 17 and under, of KSC Students and Recreation Center/Pool members to use the pool and/or rec courts only. While using the appropriate facilities, children must remain under parental supervision at all times. Children are not permitted in the fitness center (weight room and cardio room), on the jogging track or in any other work out area. Present an Owl Card or membership card to the front desk staff when requesting child or guest passes. Children of Recreation Center and Pool Membership holders or students may not bring guests. Children must be toilet trained and completely out of diapers, and should be old enough and tall enough to touch bottom of the shallow end to use the pool. Flotation devices may not be used in the pool, except by swimmers with disabilities. Other facility use restrictions and policies may apply.
