July 30-August 16 - campus wide steam plant shutdown - no heat or hot water in the facility
August 2-13 - wood floor refinishing - all areas off limits during this period and there will be a strong odor the first few days due to the refinishing materials
Recreation Center/Spaulding Gymnasium - Facility Use Guidelines (Covid-19)
KSC employees and students who are fully vaccinated or who are participating in the College’s testing protocol are eligible to access the Recreation Center for work out purposes once they purchase a summer membership. More information about summer memberships can be found on the Membership web page.
In order to protect the health and well-being of the KSC community, please be aware of the following steps Recreational Sports has implemented and the steps that all users of the facility for workout purposes must follow:
KSC Owl card required of all students with summer memberships or employee members.
If you are sick, have one or more of the above symptoms (even mild symptoms), have had a fever above 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or felt feverish in the last 72 hours, have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or tested positive for COVID-19, stay home.
Maintain 10 feet distancing for all physical activity (6 feet all other times).
Wipe down facility equipment before and after use.
Check out equipment is not available.
Practice appropriate and frequent hand washing before, during and after workouts.
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when need to sneeze or cough; dispose of the tissue; wash your face/hands before touching any equipment or returning to your activity.
Store belongings in a cubby locker or leave at home.
Please bring your own reusable water bottle.
No Guest policy has been implemented this year.
Keep in mind that Recreational Sports has the right to refuse service to anyone that has COVID-19 symptoms or fails to follow facility guidelines.
Academic Year Hours - (All Areas Except Pool)
Monday-Wednesday: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
Thursday & Friday: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
ID and Membership Cards
Owl ID Cards or Membership Cards must be presented to the front desk staff each visit and pool passes or membership cards to the lifeguards each visit to the pool.
The Keene State College Recreation Center and Pool are open to KSC full-time and part-time students and Recreation Center membership holders (faculty, staff, and Continuing Education students only this year) and to restricted membership holders with the Walking Track/Group Fitness or the Pool memberships. Individuals can sign up for a membership at the front desk of the Recreation Center.
