Students are encouraged to gain practical experience, internships being an excellent option. Internships are available for-credit and not-for-credit, paid or unpaid, and can take place during the academic year or summer.

Keene State College’s internship definition: “A student experience in a work setting – usually related to their career interests – giving them the benefit of supervision and coaching from professionals in the field. If the internship is taken for course credit, students complete assignments that are predetermined by a faculty member.”

Experiential learning opportunities such as internships can benefit students academically, professionally, and personally. They are important to your future success.
