Aspire staff work to provide all KSC students with academic support services designed to enhance success, by improving performance and giving them the tools they need to not only survive college - but thrive.

Some of our services include: Semester at a glance calendar; KSC Study Nights; Peer Tutoring; Peer Mentoring; Study Skills Development, Time Management and Organizational Support; and Links - a summer bridge program for first-time students.

Aspire also offers students leadership development and employment opportunities for work study and student hourly eligible students.

Aspire provides individual, small group, and drop-in tutoring options. To get connected with a tutor, students can either stop by Student Academic Support Services (on the first floor of Elliot) or login to Navigate and click "schedule an appointment".

The Math Center provides tutoring for math courses. The Center for Research and Writing provides tutoring for English writing courses. Aspire provides peer tutoring for other introductory level courses based on availability of qualified tutors.

Links is a summer program designed to help students who are going to college for the first time. It helps them get used to what college is like both academically and socially, all in a supportive environment. After finishing Links, students are more ready to tackle the challenges of college. They've improved important skills like reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication, which will be valuable throughout their college journey.

TRIO staff work with students at point of entry through graduation. Staff provide academic, social, and cultural activities to support students’ development of skills required to successfully navigate post-secondary education.

TRIO programs takes place around campus, in classrooms, residence halls, and in the local community.

Keene State College TRIO program staff

TRIO programs started with President Johnson’s 1964 economic opportunity legislation. TRIO along with Head Start, AmeriCorps and VISTA, Legal Services, Community Action Centers, GED and Job Corps were a part of his “Great Society” vision.
