Decision Points

Undergraduate Decision Points for Initial Licensure Programs determine academic eligibility for Admission to Educator Preparation, enrollment in clinical placements, and recommendation for endorsement for NH licensure. Students whom successfully pass-through Decision Points 1-5 are recommended for endorsement for NH licensure.) Elementary Education,

Secondary Education, and K-12 (Physical Education and Music Education) are represented.

Students need to know and understand each decision point to progress successfully in the program. This includes knowing deadlines, testing requirements, grade point average, application processes, and program course requirements. If a student does not meet the expectations set in the Decision Points, their progress and completion of the educator preparation program may be delayed. Discussion and review of the Decision Points should be a part of your advising sessions.

Students will be evaluated with our Clinical Evaluations and Disposition forms throughout your program, specifically during clinical-based courses. It is important for students to know the expectations and to work with your faculty and cooperating professionals to grow and develop in these areas.

Student Teaching is the culminating clinical experience in our undergraduate educator preparation programs, and students need to start preparing for this experience in advance by meeting the decision points and completing the student teaching application/ documentation.

When an educator preparation student has met all the academic requirements of the program and the decision points, including program-specific testing requirements, the student can be recommended for endorsement for NH licensure.
