Other Crises & Urgent Needs

Medical/Physical Health: If you are experiencing an urgent but non-life threatening medical situation during business hours (M-F; 8am-4:30pm), contact the Wellness Center (603-358-2200) or you can also contact Campus Safety (603-358-2228) if you are on campus. After hours, on weekends/holidays, please use your local Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinic. These are listed below for Keene under “Local After Hours Medical Services.”

Mental/Emotional Health: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or have an urgent need to speak with a mental health counselor during business hours (M-F, 8am-4:30pm), please walk over to our office on the 3rd floor of the Elliot Center. After hours, on weekends, and on holidays, please call our 24/7 on-call Crisis Counselor at 603-358-2436. Please note that wait times to speak with a Crisis Counselor can be influenced by high call volumes. If you are experiencing a wait that is too long for you, please use any of the following resources for additional urgent options:

  • NH988 1-833-710-6477 (Call or Text) or visit NH988.com (chat) These are NH crisis hotlines. Although initial calls may be answered by someone in another region, if you let them know you are in NH and you are determined to need assistance in person, they will send a NH crisis team to help you.

  • The Trevor Lifeline 1-866-488-7386. Crisis hotline for LGBTQ+

  • The Steve Fund, crisis hotline for people of color: Text STEVE to 741741

  • Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention (MCVP) (603) 352-3782: Located in Keene, this organization provides confidential assistance with domestic and sexual violence
