How to Calculate Holiday Hours
The appropriate number of holiday hours you are entitled to is equal to the total number of regularly scheduled hours that you work per week divided by 5. If the total number of regularly scheduled hours that you work in a week does not equal an increment of .25 (nearest quarter hour) when it is divided by 5, then you will round up to the nearest quarter hour when entering your hours in Earn Code 314 - Holiday Pay (not worked).

How to Record Holiday Hours Worked
If you do work on one of the four Campus Holidays, enter the number of hours that you work on that Campus Holiday in Earn Code 316 - Holiday-Worked. Also, remember to put the appropriate number of Holiday Hours in Earn Code 314 - Holiday Pay (not worked).
John Smith has a 37.50-hour-per-week base schedule, and he works 3.00 hours on the Thursday, December 24, Campus Holiday (Thursday 12/24/15). He would enter 3.00 hours in Earn Code 316 - Holiday Worked (number of hours that he worked on the Campus Holiday) and 7.50 hours in Earn Code 314 - Holiday Pay (not worked).
How to Record Hours during Curtailed Operations - Not Worked
The appropriate number of curtailed hours you are entitled to is equal to the total number of regularly scheduled hours that where missed because normal College operations were curtailed.
The College declares Curtailed Operations from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
If you did not work during the Curtailed Operations period, and **your regularly scheduled hours include the times from 8 a.m. TO 10 a.m., record these hours as follows:
- Earn Code 522 - 2.00 hours (Curtailed Operations - 3p not worked) 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
How to Record Hours during Curtailed Operations - Essential Personnel Worked
If your supervisor required you as Essential Personnel to work during the Curtailed Operations period, follow the following recording procedure.
- Record hours worked in the Earn Code 120 - Regular Hourly Earnings (OS) as usual (or Earn Code 310 add’l hours if applicable)
- Enter hours worked during the Curtailed Operations period in Earn Code 911 - Comp. Time Accrual 1:1 to “bank” the Comp Time Hours earned.
- To “use” the Comp Time Hours, select Earn Code 914 Comp Time Usage - 3p & WTE to record hours not worked and charged to Comp Time.
