Set Up Your KSC NetID

Set up your KSC NetID and Email

Important! As a new student, you will receive an email with a subject line “Set up your KSC NetID and Email” sent to your personal email address. This should arrive approximately 48 hours after you have paid your deposit. If you do not see it, please check your junk mail folder. This extremely important email walks you through setting up your KSC NetID, obtaining your KSC email address and logging into the Keene State College student portal, MyKSC. You will need your KSC NetID and your NetID password in order to complete many of the tasks, so it’s important you don’t forget this information.

To Begin:

  1. Locate the “Set up your KSC NetID and Email” email in your personal email account.
  2. Click on the link to claim your KSC NetID (we do not recommend using a mobile device to complete this step. Your computer is best).
  3. Accept the Computer and Network Usage Policy and set your KSC NetID password
  4. Enroll in the password reset service.
  5. Review your account claiming email for all the information you will need.

You should now have your KSC NetID, NetID password and your KSC email address! Remember this information as you will need it when you come to Orientation.

Office 365

Students use Office 365 for their email. Students will log into their account using their email address: first.last@ksc.keene.edu and NetID password.

You will find important email from other departments (Housing, Health & Wellness, etc) that will need your prompt attention. Students may also forward Office 365 email to an alternative email address.

Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is available to students free of charge through Office 365. No additional purchase is necessary.

MyKSC

In order to complete several of the required tasks, you will need to know how to use MyKSC, which is the KSC student web portal. MyKSC provides access to:

  • Course registration
  • Office 365 email
  • QuickPAY - tuition payment
  • Transcripts and grades
  • Class schedules and more

MyKSC is also the official contact for emergency messages and administrative business. Students may also forward MyKSC email to an alternative email address. Visit MyKSC FAQ’s or the IT Group’s MyKSC overview for more information on how to use this portal.
