The health and safety of our community is our paramount priority as we adapt to the current pandemic threat. Indeed, the Keene State community has always been characterized by concern and caring for one another.
It is exciting that the COVID-19 vaccine is becoming more available. Getting your vaccine protects you, your friends, your roommates, family members, and all of us at Keene State. After you receive your second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or your one-dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine, be sure to upload proof of your vaccine to Keene State’s Health Services. Visit this form. Use the link in the form to upload your vaccination information through the Health Services Patient Portal. Please also fill out the form itself. Also, keep your vaccination card.
This year, it is more important than ever to demonstrate this caring. This Community Commitment Acknowledgement is an embodiment of that caring for others.
We are all committing to these behaviors to keep ourselves, each other, and the broader Keene community safe by being Owls United. For updates on plans for opening in the spring, visit keene.edu/spring21.

A message from Dean Zimmerman
College is a time to learn and grow. Exposure to diversity – of ideas, people, and activity – is crucial to a well-rounded education. If you reach out, that is what you will find at Keene State College. The college promotes student learning through services, programs, and opportunities that will allow you to balance your intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. The Dean’s Office is dedicated to supporting your well-being, growth, and success, in a caring atmosphere.
My role is to assist and support you in achieving your academic and personal goals. I also serve in an advocacy role and will hear your concerns and help you understand the policies and procedures of the College in order to advance resolution of your concerns and/or refer you to appropriate services. Frequent concerns deal with student personal and/or family problems and I can act as a liaison with both internal and external resources.
Please take time to familiarize yourself with the Student Handbook and to acquaint yourself with services, policies, and opportunities. Above all, take full advantage of attending Keene State and get involved in the life of the college.
What you do and learn here will last a lifetime.
Gail M. Zimmerman
Dean of Students
