Office of Student Diversity, Belonging, and Equity

About Us

Keene State’s Office of Student Diversity, Belonging, and Equity (OSDBE) provides opportunities for students to honor and express their authentic selves by facilitating exploration of their role in and responsibilities to local and global communities. The OSDBE strives to co-create communities that are equitable, caring, and inclusive by connecting students, colleagues, and campus partners to each other and their environment.

We reflect on the complexities, engage in the contradictions, and embrace the possibilities inherent to shared human experience in order to transform ourselves, community, and environment.

We envision a campus made up of people dedicated to lifelong inner work, who co-create a community which values the diversity of multiple perspectives and an environment that centers mutuality.

We inhabit a universe that is characterized by diversity.
—Desmond Tutu

The Office of Student Diversity, Belonging, and Equity offers ongoing weekly, monthly, and annual programming that is both social and educational, such as Crafternoon, Out & About, Flag Raising Celebration, and many more. We also offer individual student support, mentorship, advocacy, and consultation to students, staff, and faculty.

We are located at 81 Blake Street in Keene State College’s new Cultural Center, a place of activity, renewal, and connection. The Center is also a place for the entire KSC community to benefit from diverse interactions, connections, and collaborations. Come pay us a visit!
