Institutional Research & Assessment Dashboards

As an extension of the Factbook, Tableau data dashboards provide interactive & filterable multi-year summary data for Keene State College students. The dashboards present data related to admissions, enrollment, & graduation including demographic information. Student summary data is based on the KSC census date or R+30 (30 days into the semester). The Office of Institutional Research & Assessment intends to expand the dashboards periodically & updated the dashboards each Fall semester. If information you are seeking is not included in the dashboards, please check the Factbook, the Factbook archive, or contact Institutional Research & Assessment for assistance. Choose from the list of available dashboards below:


Admissions

The Admissions Dashboard presents the number of undergraduate applicants, admitted applicants, and enrolled students. Trends of admission rates and yield rates for first-time first-year applicants and transfer applicants for fall semesters are included. This data can be filtered by residency status.


Enrollment Demographics

The Enrollment Dashboards presents enrollment trends for all students enrolled for credit, undergraduate and graduate levels, degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking at fall & spring semesters. The dashboards can be filtered by various demographic populations.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Demographic Enrolled” can be filtered by: All students, First-time First-year students, Residency status, Full-time/Part-time status, Gender, Ethnicity/Race, First-Generation, Pell Grant Recipients, Class level for undergraduate degree-seeking students, and Housing information.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Geographic Origins” presents home states and home countries for All students as well as NH counties of First-time First-year students. This dashboard can be filtered by: Semester, All students, First-time First-year students.


Majors & Minors

The Majors and Minor Dashboards presents declared majors and minors of degree-seeking enrolled students in fall & spring semesters.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Enrolled Majors by Totals” presents a visual graph of most commonly declared majors & minors. Data can be filtered by Semester and Major/Program level including: first and second majors of undergraduate students, graduate majors, undergraduate and graduate certifications, and undergraduate minors.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Enrolled Majors Graph” presents a visual graph of declared majors. Data can be filtered by Semester and Major/Program level including: first and second majors of undergraduate students, graduate majors, and undergraduate and graduate certifications. All majors can be expanded & collapsed by area of study.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Enrolled Majors Table” presents a table of declared majors counts. Data can be filtered by Semester and Major/Program level including: first and second majors of undergraduate students, graduate majors, and undergraduate and graduate certifications. All majors can be expanded & collapsed by area of study.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Enrolled Programs by Majors” presents visual graphs of declared majors within a single major program area of study. Data can be filtered by program/major area of study.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Enrolled Minors Table” presents a table of declared minors counts. Data can be filtered by semester. Declared minors is only relevant to undergraduate degree-seeking students.


Course Enrollment & Credit Hours

The Course Enrollment and Credit Hours Dashboards presents course enrollment and student credit hours of degree-seeking enrolled students in fall & spring semesters.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Course Enrollment by Totals” presents a visual graph of largest course enrollment & student credit hours by departments. Data can be filtered by Semester, school/division, and course level including lower level, upper level, & graduate level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Course Enrollments” presents a table of course enrollments by school/division and department. Data can be filtered by fall/Spring semesters, school/division, and course level including lower level, upper level, & graduate level. All departments can be expanded & collapsed by course level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Student Credit Hours” presents a table of student credit hours by school/division and department. Data can be filtered by fall/Spring semesters, school/division, and course level including lower level, upper level, & graduate level. All departments can be expanded & collapsed by course level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Course Enrollments & Credit Hours by Department” presents visual graphs of course enrollments and student credit hours within a academic department. Data can be filtered by fall/Spring semesters, school/division, and course level including lower level, upper level, & graduate level. All departments can be expanded & collapsed by course level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Class Size for Undergraduate Levels” presents a visual graph and table of course enrollments by class size category. Data can be expanded & collapsed by course level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Student to Faculty Ratio & Average Class Size” present visual graphs of ten year trends of Student to faculty Ratio and average class size.


Retention & Graduation Rates

The Retention and Graduation Dashboards present Retention rates and Graduation rates for First-time First-year students. The dashboards can be filtered by various demographic populations.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Retention Rates” presents a visual graph of first to second year Retention rate trends (Fall to Fall) for First-time first-year students. This dashboard can be filtered by: All First-time First-year students, Residency status, Gender, Ethnicity/Race, first-Generation, and Pell Grant Recipients.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Graduation Rates” presents a visual graph and table for counts for trends of 4-year, 5-year, 6-year, 7-year, and 8-year Graduation rates for First-time first-year students. This dashboard can be filtered by: All First-time First-year students, Residency status, Gender, Ethnicity/Race, first-Generation, and Pell Grant Recipients.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Retention Demographics” presents visual graphs for first to second year Retention rate comparisons (Fall to Fall) for First-time first-year students by: Residency status, Gender, Ethnicity/Race, First-Generation, and Pell Grant Recipients. This dashboard can be filtered by semester.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Grad Rates Demographics” presents visual graphs for 4-year, 5-year, 6-year, 7-year, and 8-year Graduation rate comparisons for First-time first-year students by: Residency status, Gender, Ethnicity/Race, First-Generation, and Pell Grant Recipients. This dashboard can be filtered by semester.


Graduation - Degrees

The Degrees Awarded Dashboards present trends of Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees awarded at graduation. Also presented are counts of the specific Majors, Certifications, and Minors for graduating students

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Graduation Majors Graph” presents a visual graph of Majors at Graduation. Data can be filtered by Graduation year and Major/Program level including: first and second majors of undergraduate graduated students, graduate majors, and undergraduate and graduate certifications. All majors can be expanded & collapsed by area of study.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Graduation Minors Table” presents a table of Minors at Graduation counts. Data can be filtered by Graduation year. Declared minors is only relevant to undergraduate graduated students.


Graduated Students Demographics

The Graduation Demographics Dashboards present Gender and Ethnicity/Race trend data for students at graduation.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Demographics Graduation” presents a visual graph of students at graduation by Gender and Ethnicity/Race. This dashboard can be filtered by both populations as well as degree level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Gender Graduation” presents a visual graph and table count of students at graduation by Gender. This dashboard can be filtered by Gender and degree level.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Ethnicity/Race Graduation” presents a visual graph and table count of students at graduation by Ethnicity/Race. This dashboard can be filtered by Ethnicity/Race and degree level.


Employee Demographics

The Faculty and Staff Dashboards present Gender and Ethnicity/Race trend data for KSC faculty and staff.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “All Employees” presents a table of KSC employee counts by primary occupation. This dashboard can be filtered by: Gender, Ethnicity/Race, Full-time/Part-time designation.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “All Employees Demographics” presents a visual graph and table of KSC employee counts and percentages. This dashboard can be filtered by: Gender, Ethnicity/Race, Full-time/Part-time designation, Faculty/Staff designation.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Staff Demographics” presents a visual graph and table of KSC staff counts and percentages (excludes faculty). This dashboard can be filtered by: Gender, Ethnicity/Race, Full-time/Part-time designation.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “Faculty Demographics” presents a visual graph and table of KSC faculty counts and percentages. This dashboard can be filtered by: Gender, Ethnicity/Race, Full-time/Part-time designation.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “All FT Faculty” presents a table of KSC full-time faculty counts by faculty status and rank. This dashboard can be filtered by: Gender, Ethnicity/Race.

The dashboard on the tab labeled “FT Faculty Demographics” presents a visual graph and table of KSC full-time faculty counts and percentages. This dashboard can be filtered by: Gender, Ethnicity/Race, Faculty Status.
