Physical Activity and Disease

An introduction to human physiology and the epidemiological evidence in regards to physical activity’s relationship with hypokinetic diseases including Cardiovascular Disease, Type II Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Stroke, Cancer, Obesity and Mental Health. The course will integrate course content, epidemiological research review, and critical thinking to interpret physiological information concerning the human body adaptations due to physical activity on overall human health.
