America And The Holocaust: Deceit And Indifference

Beginning with the tragic events of Kristallnacht in 1938 and extending through the liberation of the death camps in 1945, "America and the Holocaust" explores the painful and difficult story of America’s response to the murder of six million Jews by Nazis and their collaborators. Using interviews, archival photos and documents, and home movies and film from the time, the program traces the tragic story of America’s inaction on two levels: Through the experiences of Kurt Klein, a Jewish refugee trying to save his parents, and through documented evidence of the U.S. Government’s official policy.
