Professional Activities

Christopher Swist, Music, played on the Apple Hill summer concert series with the quartet July 19, in Apple Hill’s first time including percussion at the summer program, playing a piece for String Quartet and Percussion, Pavel Haas String Quartet No. 2 “From the Monkey Mountains.” He also participated in the pre-concert lecture talking about the score and process of arranging the optional percussion part for the fourth movement “A Wild Night.” The piece will get an encore performance at the Redfern as part of the Terezin commemoration on November 13, for which he’ll be joining the Haas quartet again.

Gail Zimmerman, dean of students, and Jeff Maher, Title IX, discrimination, and harassment coordinator, participated in a roundtable discussion on campus sexual assault, along with representatives from other New Hampshire colleges and universities and other experts, hosted by Rep. Anne Kuster in Concord.
