Folk Rock / Indie / Pop / Singer-Songwriter Ryan LaPerle ’05 will be back on campus Sept. 20 for Parent/Family Weekend, sharing his passion for music from 2–4 p.m. on the Quad. Now part of the Boston music scene, Ryan has shared the stage with such national artists as Matthew Perryman Jones, The Kin, and Joshua James. He’s toured from New Hampshire to South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. “I’m excited to be coming back—I haven’t been to Keene since 2005. It’s really an honor to be asked as an alumn to perform for the students and their families,” LaPerle said.

Ryan has played venues such as Berklee’s Performance Center and Cafe 939, The Middle East, Club Passim, and The Living Room in NYC, along with colleges and universities around the Northeast. He also performs on local TV shows and had his music featured on the New England Cable News Morning Show. Recently, a New York City talent agency scouted LaPerle to audition for The Voice, and he received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music.

Catch Ryan during Parent/Family Weekend. Online registration begins August 11. Here’s a sample of him in action:
