OSHA Safety Courses in June
KEENE, N.H. 5/15/02 - The OSHA Training Institute Education Center in Manchester, N.H., has scheduled five courses in June. The Region I OSHA Training Institute is authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Keene State College’s Office of Continuing Education.
The following courses are offered at the Region I OSHA Education Center, located at the Manchester Airport, unless otherwise indicated.
“Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry,” intended for private sector personnel from all types of industries, presents detailed information on how the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act may be implemented in the workplace. This OSHA 501 course is scheduled for June 17-21. Classes meet 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday. Tuition is $640.
“Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry” is designed by OSHA to introduce entry-level personnel to basic construction safety standards and is a prerequisite for attendance in other construction courses. The OSHA 510 course is scheduled June 10-14. Classes meet 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday. Tuition is $640.
OSHA’s Revised Recordkeeping Rule is designed to assist private sector personnel who have responsibilities under OSHA’s revised recordkeeping Rule 29 CFR 1904. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to identify the OSHA requirements for recordkeeping, posting, and reporting as well as complete the new OSHA forms 300, 300A, and 301. The OSHA 845 course is scheduled Friday, June 7. The four-hour class will be offered twice during the day, from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 5 p.m. Tuition is $75.
The following two classes will take place on the Keene State College campus.
“Respiratory Protection” delivers information on how to develop a respirator program. The OSHA 222A course is specially designed to cover the requirements for the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respirator program. The class will meet June 3-6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday at Keene State. Tuition is $640.”OSHA Guide to Voluntary Compliance in Industrial Hygiene” is designed for private sector personnel who are interested in increasing their knowledge of industrial hygiene practices and related OSHA regulations and procedures. The next session will be held June 24-28 at Keene State. Classes meet 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday. Tuition is $640.
