Show Your Stuff

Do you have the right stuff? If you think so, talk to your faculty mentor about submitting an abstract of your academic project, similar to what is submitted annually for the KSC Academic Excellence Conference.

You may be one of 10 KSC students to present at COPLAC’s Second Annual Northeast Regional Undergraduate Research Conference on Oct. 28-29 here on campus.

You’ve got to have your proposal abstract submitted to Susan Ericson-West (swest@keene.edu) in the Office of Sponsored Projects and Research by Friday, September 16, 2011.

Students are being selected from each of the Northeast regional COPLAC campuses: Keene State, SUNY Geneseo, U. Maine Farmington, Eastern Connecticut University, Ramapo College, and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Performance groups and works of art are eligible. Last year the conference was held at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adam, MA.

Submit an electronic abstract document and use your last name and school acronym (for example, smithksc) as its title. In the document please give the following info in this order:

  • Title of presentation/poster (indicate which it is)
  • Author(s)
  • Faculty mentor(s)
  • Institution
  • 200-250 word abstract (submissions over the 250 word limit will be edited)
  • Brief (two-sentence) biographical entry giving your hometown/city, academic major, and current post-graduation plans. (For example: John Smith is a junior philosophy major from Hartford, Conn. He plans to pursue graduate study in medical ethics and to work in the field of public health.)

Photos of artwork and DVDs of performances may be submitted for committee review as appropriate.
