Registration for Writers Conference Now Open

KEENE, N.H., 06/30/10 - Registration is open for the July 25 to 31, 2010, Writers Conference at Keene State College.

The conference is your opportunity to work on your unfinished novel, short stories, creative nonfiction, poetry collection, young adult fiction, or musical and lyrical compositions, aided and supported by published writers. Discussions in craft talks and workshops offer insight into revisions of your work. Writing sessions help you generate new work, encouraging you to stretch your abilities in your chosen genre. One-on-one meetings with the writers who comprise the faculty offer ample time to discuss your work.

The 2010 Keene State Writers Conference faculty includes: Laurie Alberts - author of three novels, a story collection, and two memoirs.

Celia Bland - author of 14 books for young adults.
William Doreski - author of 18 books, including poetry, nonfiction, and criticism.
Jeff Friedman - published author of five poetry collections.
Joseph Monninger - author of eight novels and three nonfiction books.
Roy Nathanson - internationally acclaimed jazz composer and saxophonist whose work combines text and music.
Christopher Noel - author of five books of fiction and nonfiction.
Dzvinia Orlowsky - published author of four poetry collections.

The base cost is $800. There are additional costs for undergraduate or graduate credit, room, and meals.
