Summer Course Registration To Begin

KEENE, N.H., 03/06/09 - Keene State College’s Continuing Education Office announces that registration for summer session begins Monday, March 23, 2009. Keene State offers two 6-week long summer sessions: Summer I (May 18-June 26) and Summer II (June 29-August 7), and one 12-week session: Full Summer (May 18-August 7).

Summer session provides you opportunities to get ahead on required courses, graduate early or on time, advance your career goals, and broaden your knowledge while enjoying smaller classes.

Courses in more than 30 different fields are offered, including those in art, computer science, economics, education, management, special education, and theatre and dance. Credit and noncredit courses are offered and courses run during the week and on weekends.

Weeklong institutes are also part of Keene State’s summer program. Alcohol and drugs fundamentals, aviation safety, school law, and a writers’ conference are among the summer institutes offered.

Opportunities for online learning through short online courses or longer certification programs are also available.

Taking about 18 months to complete, certification programs in more than 50 areas, including construction/automotive technology, medical transcription, and video game design, make anywhere, anytime online learning possible.

Short online courses in such areas as grant writing, web page design, computer programming, digital photography, and digital video are also offered.

Summer Session I and Full Summer course registration continues through May 13. Summer Session II course registration runs through June 26. Registration for weekend courses and one-week institutes is open until the day class begins; however, early registration is encouraged.
