Keene State Announced Summer Session Registration Has Opened

KEENE, N.H., 3/28/07 - Keene State College’s Continuing Education and Extended Studies announced that registration for the summer session is open. Summer Session I runs May 14 through June 22, followed by Summer Session II, June 25-August 3.

Each summer session offers courses in more than 30 different fields, including art, astronomy, education, management, American studies, computer science, film, special education, and theatre and dance.

In addition to courses running during the week, weekend courses are also available. Among the weeklong institutes offered are a writers’ conference, an introduction to forensic chemistry, adventure group counseling, a historical look at Latin American music, and countering effects of poverty in schools.

KSC offers anywhere, anytime online certification in more than 50 areas in six different fields. Taking about 18 months to complete, construction/automotive technology, medical transcription, and video game design are among the areas in which students can received certification.

Online courses in grant writing, web page design, computer programming, and digital photography and digital video are also offered. Kids on Campus for youth entering grades one through nine expands to three weeks this summer.

Summer Session I and full summer course registration continues through May 9. Summer Session II course registration runs through June 20. Registration for weekend courses and one-week institutes is open until the day class begins; however, early registration is encouraged.
