February Courses at Region I OSHA Education Center
KEENE, N.H., 01/24/07 - Region I (New England) OSHA Training Institute Education Center in Manchester, New Hampshire, is accepting registrations for three February courses. The institute is authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Keene State College’s Office of Continuing Education.
Ten-Hour Outreach Course in OSHA’s Construction Safety and Health Standards (NCSH 310) introduces construction managers and employees to construction hazard recognition and control and OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. Participants gain the ability to evaluate construction sites for potential hazards and to understand corrective action to take to eliminate hazards. After successfully completing the course, participants receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10-hour outreach course completion card. The course runs February 8-9 in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers (502), for personnel in the private sector who completed Course 500 and are active trainers in the outreach program, updates students on OSHA construction standards, policies, and regulations, among other areas. A copy of your current Course 500 card is required at registration.
Update for General Industry Outreach Trainers (503) for private-sector personnel who completed Course 501 and are active trainers in the outreach program, is an update on OSHA general industry standards and OSHA policies. Your Course 501 card is required at registration.
Outreach trainers must attend Courses 502 and 503 once every four years to maintain trainer status. Course 502 runs February 12-14 and Course 503 runs February 14-16, both courses are held in Fairfield, Maine.
Tuition for OSHA courses is per person. Tuition for Course 310 is $275, with 502 and 503, $675. Group discounts for five or more students to attend one course are available, as is on-site training for groups of at least 10 or more participants.
