Keene State Debuts Online Certification Programs in 47 Areas
KEENE, N.H. 6/21/06 - Keene State College’s Continuing Education and Extended Studies debuts anytime, anywhere online certification programs in 47 areas. Designed for people looking to switch career paths, obtain advanced training and certifications, and for first-time job seekers needing specialized training, courses are open enrollment and self-paced. Students are paired with a personal instructor and courses are enhanced with textbooks. Grades combine computer-graded tests and instructor/mentor’s evaluation of each student’s work. Taking between three to six months to complete, the courses provide training for entry-level positions.
Programs in healthcare, business, construction technology, and video game design and development are among the offerings. Students completing their program receive a certificate from Keene State.
The courses are offered in partnership with Gatlin Education Services. Established in 1989, Gatlin is the largest provider of Web-based, instructor- supported training to colleges and universities.
