BASKETBALLS TAKE A KID TO THE GAME PROGRAM

Community Encouraged to Bring a Youngster to the January 11th,

Mens and Womens Basketball Game

KEENE, N.H. 1/6/03 Area youngsters will have an opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere when Keene State College hosts NCAA Basketballs annual Take a Kid to the Game program this Saturday at Spaulding Gym. Kids, ages 18 and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full- priced adult ticket ($3), to watch the Owls take on Rhode Island College. The womens game begins at 1 p.m. followed by the mens game at 3 p.m.

Keene State is one of more than 300 institutions across the nation that are participating in this campaign which is focused on attracting more of the nations youth to college games. The Take a Kid to the Game program is entering its eighth year in the promotion of NCAA Athletics.

We are very excited to be participating in the NCAA Take a Kid to the Game initiative, said John Ratliff, athletic director at Keene State. Our wish is that all of the young kids in our immediate area will have the opportunity to experience the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is NCAA Mens and Womens Basketball.
