Figure Drawing Studio Scheduled at Keene State College

Figure Drawing Studio is a new course taught by Peter Roos, an associate professor in the Art Department. Drawing from a live model, each class begins with short gesture poses and progresses to a long pose. Students working in drawing and painting media are welcome to attend; however, prior figure drawing experience is recommended. Since the course is an open studio, participants spend most of their time practicing drawing skills with minimum instruction provided. The class meets Wednesdays, Sept. 4 to Dec. 4, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Taken on a non-credit basis, the course costs $99; taken for one college credit, the course is $216 for New Hampshire residents and $235 for out-of-state residents.

Several other art courses are available this fall through Keene States Continuing Education Office. The following courses carry three credits and run the full semester, which begins Aug. 26 and ends Dec. 13.
