Summer Registration Under Way
KEENE, N.H. 3/20/02 - The Keene State College Continuing Education Office opens Summer Session registration on Monday, March 25. Many courses are offered in two, six-week summer sessions starting May 20 and July 1, so students can earn credits and still have time for summer activities. In addition, there is one, twelve-week session starting May 20 and many one-week institutes available throughout the summer.
Courses are offered that fulfill major and general education requirements, as well as many topic courses of special interest. Some special topic courses scheduled this summer include:
- Creating an Oral History
- Islamic Civilization
- War and Peace in Northern Ireland
- Aviation Safety
- History of Rock and Roll
- English as a Second Language
- Ethics in Educational Practice
- Beatniks in America
- A+ Certification
Registration continues through Wednesday, May 15, for Summer Session I and Full Summer classes. Registration remains open for Summer Session II courses through Wednesday, June 26. Registration for weekend courses and one-week institutes is open until the day the class begins. Early registration is encouraged because seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may register in person, by phone, by fax, by mail, or by e-mail.
To register in person, students should visit the Continuing Education Office on the first floor of Elliot Hall on Main Street. Parking is available in the visitor’s parking lot on Wyman Way. The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

For fax and mail registrations, students should complete the registration form printed in the back of the Summer 2002 issue of Discovery, the Continuing Education magazine mailed to area residents the last week in March.
