Student Services Dedicated to Your Success

As a student, you have many valuable resources on campus to help you throughout your college years. Across campus, professors and staff have one focus: Supporting you as you transition to, progress through, and continue on from your Keene State experience. There are people everywhere to ensure that you’re finding your way. These videos just scratch the surface of the offices and individuals who are here to provide you with what you need to succeed in college – and beyond it.

Academic Advising

Academic and Career Advising (ACA) helps you get used to being in college, works with you to decide what your major and career aspirations are, and guides you as you determine which classes to take so that you are prepared to succeed after you graduate.

Students in ASPIRE class

In the Aspire office, you can get tutoring from other students, help with managing your time, study skills, and setting goals, and assistance with working through stress, as well as attend regular study nights. Aspire also runs Keene State’s Links, a summer program available to new students.

Zorn Dining Commons

Good food is an important part of your college experience – and we’ve got you covered at Keene State. You will have a meal plan to use at any of several dining locations on campus.

Men's Basketball Fans

Get a world-class education and play the sport you love. Keene State is a Divisions III NCAA college and we offer 18 varsity teams. With 16 consecutive Little East Conference Commissioner’s Cups, we have the most successful athletic program in our conference.

Elliot Center

You have a valuable resource with the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid staff is dedicated to working with you and your family to afford college through financial aid packages and merit awards. You can reach out to them for help throughout your years at Keene State – they are ready to help.

Living Learning Community

Like many first-year students, you might choose The Commons as your living space. It’s the newest residential building and it’s home to living and learning communities in areas of interest such as psychology and neuroscience, health and wellness, science and mathematics, presidential politics and elections, film, and history.

Mason Library, exterior

The Wallace E. Mason Library provides you with materials and services in support of the college’s undergraduate and graduate curricula. The library staff provides students with information services and instruction in research methods and the use of library resources.

Nursing Lab

The Nursing Fundamentals Lab features five patient areas and a nurses station that are set up just as they would be in the most current hospital environment. The Simulation Lab includes two intensive care rooms that are monitored from a common control room.

Office of Disability Services Staff

Providing equal access to academic and campus programs and activities is the dedicated focus of the Office of Disability Services. If you have documented disabilities, you can arrange for accommodations through the Office of Disability Services.

Hunter and Kya

You are supported by staff members in Keene State’s Office of Multicultural Student Support and Success (OMSSS). People in this office will help you honor your true self by exploring your role in and responsibilities to local and global communities.

The Office of Transitions and Parent Programs provides support and referral resources to you and your family throughout your time at Keene State.

Keene State Rec Sports

Whether you’re looking for more low-key sports or a great facility for your own workouts, Keene State has something for you. Club and intramural sports are open to all matriculated students and offer a lower-pressure competitive option.

Choosing your living space in college is fun, and provides you with different ways to grow personally, and live with people from backgrounds different than your own. You get to choose from traditional residence halls, suite-style arrangements, living and learning communities where you study and live

Student Involvment Staff

Get Involved. Get connected. Get ahead. Opportunities abound through Student Involvement programs and at the L.P. Young Student Center. Explore the Student Center and find resources, events, gathering spots, and maybe even something to eat.

CHW Staff

Your health and wellbeing as a student are the top priorities at Keene State. The Wellness Center is here to serve you in a variety of ways right on campus. In one place, you have access to an on-campus medical clinic, health promotion program, and counseling services designed to help with existing personal challenges and prevention of future problems. Drop-ins and appointments are available.

COVID-19 in the Water

Keene State College is collaborating with the city of Keene to monitor SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus) levels in wastewater as part of a cutting-edge, community-wide surveillance program that may be used to predict future outbreaks. Join us to learn more about the project, including how wastewater surveillance works, how it fits into Keene State College’s risk mitigation efforts, and our results to date.

Campaigns & Elections

Elections are at the heart of American democracy and the upcoming 2020 elections are arguably the most significant in at least a generation. This panel will touch on some of the many opportunities that Keene State students have to become involved with campaigns and elections, and play an active role in the democratic process.

For over 30 years the United Nations has tried unsuccessfully to coordinate international action on climate change. Meanwhile, global temperature has risen 2oF. This panel examines the effects of climate change on human and natural systems, the actions to reduce the greenhouse gasses that drive climate change, and the changes to help cope with a changing climate.

Protest and Social Change

As the US grapples with political and civil turmoil stemming from historic systemic racism, many people are turning to protest to express their desire for social change. This discussion examines key ideas within sociology and criminal justice studies that can help us better understand the capacity of ordinary citizens to create grassroots social change.

Inclusion and Equity Across the Globe

Dr. Waller will be framing social justice work from an international platform using the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the center point of his discussion. Dr. Morris will discuss social justice initiatives happening at Keene State College as a mechanism to focus on local issues. Dr. Jennings will use the Declaration of Independence as springboard for a discussion about social justice from a national lens.

Admissions Tour

We’re ready to safely welcome small groups to campus for an outside walking tour. You’ll get to stroll down Appian Way, the main pathway that connects most of campus, and experience Owl Nation. You’ll get to feel what our campus community is like, which is one of the reasons our students love it here. You will, too.
