Returning Students

The below timeline provides an overview of the financial aid application process for returning students. The FAFSA should be completed as soon as possible in December. If your or your parent’s taxes will not be completed before the March 1 deadline, the FAFSA can and should be completed and submitted using estimated tax information.

Month	Requirement
February	Students considering summer courses should be in contact with our office about financing options.
March	KSC’s priority filing deadline for the FAFSA is March 1.
April	Funding for summer courses should be secured and finalized.
May	If you filed your FAFSA by the March 1 deadline, check your mail and email accounts for requests for additional documentation.
	Complete applications will be awarded after final grades have been posted.
June	Awarding continues
	Students should begin to seek out and secure alternative financing options for the estimated academic-year balance.
July	Fall bills are posted to QuikPay by the Student Accounts Office.
August	Fall bills are due on the 2nd Friday.
