Dr. Anthony Scioli is a leading authority on the topic of hope. He is the author of Hope in the Age of Anxiety (July 2009, Oxford University Press), and has another forthcoming book, The Power of Hope, that will be published by Health Communications (January, 2010). Dr. Scioli has more than 60 presentations or publications in the areas of stress, coping and emotion. He is professor of psychology at Keene State College as well as a member of the graduate faculty at the University of Rhode Island. He is licensed as a clinical psychology healthcare provider in the state of Massachusetts. Previously, he completed Harvard fellowships in both human motivation and behavioral medicine. Dr. Scioli co-authored the chapter on emotion for the Encyclopedia of Mental Health. He currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Positive Psychology and the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality.
