Keene State College pre-service teachers are assigned to cooperating teachers. The responsibilities of cooperating teachers include sharing resources, monitoring and encouraging the participation and progress of the student, and providing formal and informal feedback on a regular basis that contributes to the evaluation of the student in the field. Depending on the educator preparation program and course level, cooperating teachers may use KSC’s data collection system, Tk20, to collect mid-term and/or final evaluations and dispositions assessment.
KSC faculty provide guidelines for early field experiences, including the cooperating teachers’ roles and responsibilities and the use of Tk20 for data collection. For course overviews and materials for Methods/Practicum cooperating teachers, click here.
Guidelines for student teaching, evaluation forms used by cooperating teachers to assess student teachers, and agreement forms and materials for field placements can be accessed by clicking here.
