The KSC Summer Bowling League celebrates a successful summer.

From Casey Justice, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management:

Huge Shout Out and a big THANK YOU to Kathy Bottomley (Admissions Office) for the creation of the KSC Summer Bowling League. For her continued support of the bowling event during Founder’s Day, to working with Yankee Lanes to create a fun event for all of us to see each other outside of work and bowl! We successfully completed a 10-week league with 6 teams of 4 people each! We set out to have F U N fun and that’s what we did!!! Thank you Kathy and we are excited for the next league slated to start in the winter time!!

From Elizabeth Craighead, Physical Plant:

I am pleased to make Rebecca Dixon the next recipient of the coveted Golden Owl award. Rebecca is currently the Coordinator of College Ceremonies and Events. During the busiest of times, Rebecca goes out of her way to communicate and coordinate event set-up timelines and requirements with my department, always respectful of her co-workers’ time. The forethought with which Rebecca provides me detailed lists and layouts for her events reduces my stress and increases my efficiency. And best of all, you can always find her smiling amidst the chaos of Convocation and Commencement as she deals with whatever challenge is laid before her with ease and a clear head. She is a pleasure to work with.

From Mona Anderson, Counseling Center:

I’ve passed on the Golden Owl to Alex Wood, the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator in Residential Life. Last April, the Counseling Center and various student groups had planned an outdoor suicide prevention program called “Fire Up the Night.” It rained the night it was scheduled so we moved it to the following week. If you remember our cold and rainy April, it will be no surprise that it rained again. Res Life staff put me in contact with Alex who instantly brought over pop up tents. He even offered to both set them up and take them down if needed. And, he took care of getting them dry and put away the next day. He literally saved our event! More than that, he did it with such graciousness and ease. His quiet support reduced my stress tremendously, and I am so grateful for his willingness to help us on such short notice.
