Colleague Recognition

This week, a few passes of the Golden Owl and some additional recognition.

From Dana Clark, Mason Library:

I bestow the Golden Owl staff-recognition award on Robin Riley, a person who’s hard working and devoted to providing our library services in the best manner possible all while always working to bring the team together on a genuine and personal level. She makes a point of knowing people by name and helps out in all manner or tasks in a way that I find admirable.

From Melissa Laughner, Business Office:

I sent the owl on to Brandon Mathieu in the Student Center. As the Coordinator of Fraternity/Sorority Life & Student Leadership, Brandon has been instrumental this past year in defining the relationship between the Business Office and Student Assembly. He has greatly improved the student organization budget process, assisted with budget discussions with Student Assembly and guided one outstanding issue through to resolution. Brandon is responsive, helpful, and proactive when needed. He has really been a huge help this past year and I wanted to say thanks!

From Kate Leinster-O’Connor, Educator Preparation:

I would like to recognize two colleagues in the Ed Prep Office for their outstanding support of students and their KSC community:

Shawna-Lee Perrin has supported our office with her calm spirit. She has learned the complexities of our office so quickly and has met each new responsibility with competence and efficiency. Thank you Shawna for joining our team and for your flexibility!

Emily McGuiness has embraced her new role in the office and continues to provide outstanding ‘customer service’ to our Educator Preparation students. She works with me so well in brainstorming new efficiencies and ways that we can serve all of our constituents (cooperating teachers, students, and faculty). Emily is always up for a new challenge and some new trainings that she is taking part in will contribute greatly to our data gathering processes!
