Professional Activities

Sharon Fantl has received $6,000 from the New England Foundation for the Arts (sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts). This award provides funds to support the performance Made in China, a dark musical comedy to be performed by the award-winning company Wakka Wakka Productions in March 2017.

Shannon Mayers has received a $4,000 planning grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts (sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts). This award provides funds to support the performance Star of the Sea, a production by Galway-based theatre company Moonfish Theatre. It is adapted from Joseph O’Connor’s bestselling novel of the same name.

Kim Schmidl-Gagne, Program Coordinator; Cathy Turrentine, Director of Institutional Research; and Jan Youga, Professor of English, were invited to be presenters at a NEASC Interim Report Workshop for colleges and universities preparing to write their five-year interim reports. The presenters provided advice on how to complete this task successfully, and Keene State’s interim report was distributed to attendees to serve as a model for their work.
