Colleague Recognition Takes Off

We’re delighted to have our first few colleague recognitions this issue!

From Matt Salter, Student Conduct:

I wanted to recognize Alex Wood for the peer to peer recognition program. The Conduct office needed an item to better our hearing process. To buy what we needed would have cost around $200 but Alex used old supplies to build what we needed in less than 24 hours. Alex always goes above and beyond and thinks outside the box every time he is asked and is an asset to our department.

From Kristin Sweeney, Trio Programs:

We have two summer programs, Links and Upward Bound. With the departure of Will Howell, Sue Walthour has jumped in with both feet and is taking care of all our room requests with Beth Zinn in the office. Our two programs are both residential, last 6 weeks and serve over 130 students so the room request process is no easy undertaking. Live25 is a great system but to be truthfully we overwhelm it. I left last week and on my drive home I was thinking about Sue and how grateful we are that she stepped in to fill the void at the student center. She has been amazing to work with, she is super organized and responsive to our needs and she does it all with a smile.

From Skye Stephenson, GEO:

The Global Education Office wants to thank Chris Cormier for spearheading our office redesign project. During this project, he displayed exceptional professionalism, patience and perseverance. He is a true asset to the College.

…but whooo has the Golden Owl?
