And from John Ratliff:
I am pleased to share that Carrah Fisk Hennessey has accepted the interim head softball coach position, and is already quite busy working with our team. Carrah will provide continuity to a program that saw great success under Coach Beach. Our number one priority is maintaining stability for what is a very successful team, and we feel we have done that with the naming of Coach Fisk Hennessy.
With ten years of coaching experience, nine as a head coach, Carrah brings much knowledge to the position. Last year as a KSC assistant coach, Carrah played a significant role in the team’s overall accomplishments. Carrah, a member of the KSC Hall of Fame, was a four-time All Little East selection and three-time All-Region in softball. In 1999, she led all of Division III in home runs and still holds the KSC record for home runs in a season. In addition, she was first team all Little East in soccer.
During the 2014-15 academic year we will be conducting a national search for a permanent head coach. Athletics staff and student athletes alike will have a voice in the process. Input from the campus will be invaluable.
I realize this is a time of transition for our softball program, and I have complete confidence in Coach Fisk Hennessey’s ability to provide leadership and direction and to maintain Keene State softball as one of New England’s top programs.
