Nate DeMond Surplus Blowout Sale a Huge Success

From Jim Draper, Purchasing:

The KSC Surplus Program had a very special day on Saturday, July 26, 2014. The Annual Surplus Blowout sale was re-named in honor of Nate DeMond. Many of Nate’s family were on hand and even donned the special t-shirts made for the event. They were appreciative that KSC recognized how much the surplus program meant to Nate.

“It was a very special day indeed” said Jim Draper, “beginning with Nate’s brother Jason joining the KSC crew early in the morning. At the pre-sale meeting, we all had a tear in our eye remembering how important this annual event was to Nate.”

Nate’s initials were embroidered on the sleeves of the crews’ t-shirts and donation baskets were located at the cashier stations. Amazingly, over $150 was collected for Nate’s family and will be added to the fund established at the Savings Bank of Walpole. Not only was money raised for his family; we realized the highest total of any annual sale, almost $4,200.

Those wishing to contribute to the fund for Nate’s children (the Dorrian and Piper DeMond Fund) can contact Savings Bank of Walpole at 352-1822.
