Keene State Contingent Goes to ADP Conference

From Kim Schmidl-Gagne:

A group of faculty, staff, and students recently traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to attend the annual meeting of the American Democracy Project (ADP) and The Democracy Commitment (the partner organization for Community Colleges).

Keene State College community members’ engagement in the meeting included a co-facilitated information session with representatives from Mount Wachusett Community College, regarding the Economic Opportunity national initiative to begin the process of identifying other interested ADP and TDC schools.

Presentations included a follow-up on lessons learned from our “Biennial Symposium: Finding Your Place in the Evolving Commons;” a presentation by Contract Lecturer in Communications Brian Kanouse entitled: “Bridging the Two to Four Year Gap: A Summer Immersion Experience for Civic Learning and Academic Progression;” and Associate Director of the Student Center Mark Gempler’s participation in the “Campus and Friends Showcase.”
