Coming to Carroll House: Daytime Television, Imagined Space

The Art Department at Keene State College is pleased to present two exhibitions, one entitled “Daytime Television” by Snowmass, CO, artist John Lloyd, and one entitled “Imagined Space” by Whitingham, VT, artist Aysha Peltz in the Carroll House Galleries from February 27 – March 29 (closed March 15-23).

Artist John Lloyd of Snowmass CO will be on site at the Carroll House Gallery to install his sculptural wood and metal works. His artwork deals with the basic physical elements of art including line and implied volume. Lloyd is currently the Sculpture Coordinator at Anderson Ranch in Snowmass CO. He has poured iron and worked at the Kolher Arts/Industry Program in Sheboygen WI and done residencies both nationally and internationally including Vienna, Austria and Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Artist Aysha Peltz of Whitingham,VT will also be on site at the Carroll House Gallery to install her ceramic pieces. Peltz’s thrown porcelain pieces use function as a basis to investigate landscape and beauty. Peltz currently teaches ceramics at Bennington College in Bennington,VT. She has taught at many schools and craft centers including The Kansas City Art Institute, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. Her recent exhibitions include The Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington WV and the Artisan Gallery, Northhampton, MA.

Hours: Wednesday through Saturday, noon-5 p.m. All Carroll House Gallery events are free, open to the public and wheelchair-accessible.
