Major Gifts

Private support for the college continues to come in. Following is a list of recent gifts that are supporting a number of initiatives across the campus.

• $10,000 from the Kingsbury Fund in honor of Dr. Huot’s presidency to be used to support the nursing program lab project. Sean Gillery and Anne worked on this proposal.
• $3,000 from Wolf and Emily Kahn in support of the Cohen Center programs.
• $4,000 from the Agnes Lindsay Trust for current use financial aid to students who come from small communities.
• $40,000 from the Putnam Foundation in support of the Marlborough School Partnership in the Education Department. Steve Bigaj headed this work with Pamela White and Wayne Hartz.
• $2,500 from first time donors Howard and Nancy McNally in support of the Cohen Center programs.
• $17,122 from David Staples ’55 in support of the Staples Teacher Ed Scholarship, the Staples Nursing Award, and the nursing lab project. Sean Gillery worked with David on these gifts.
