Job and Internship Fair Works for Students, Employers

From Beverly Behrmann, Academic and Career Advising:

Academic and Career Advising held its annual fall semester job and internship fair on Thursday, November 21, from 1-4 p.m. in the Mabel Brown Room.

In total, 58 employers attended the fair representing a wide range of industries that included safety, manufacturing and technology, health and education to name a few. Approximately 380 students came to the event, up from 280 last spring.

Employers and students were actively engaged in conversations about job and internship possibilities. For example, Hitchiner Manufacturing, NHPR, and C.N.A. Insurance were seeking interns for their various initiatives. Other employers such as the Brattleboro Retreat, Genesis Health, Turner Construction and Level 5 Communications came with positions to fill seeking KSC soon-to-be graduates. Employers were pleased with the encounters and left with resumes in hand and lists of names to schedule interviews. In addition to for-profit and not-for-profit companies and organizations, government-funded programs such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps/VISTA and other service-oriented programs got promising results.

The spring fair will be on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
