Major Gifts

In recent weeks, the college has received:

  • $10,000 – from Lincoln Financial Foundation in support of the RCAM program. Phil Suter and Pamela White worked on this proposal in addition to SAU #29, River Valley CC, the Greater Keene Chamber, and regional employers.
  • $7,327 – from Mary Kiley ’50 for the Teacher Education Scholarship Fund. This gift was developed by Sean Gillery through his work with Mary on a retirement fund roll-over gift as a result of the Pension Protection Act.
  • $10,000 – from Susie Erickson West in memory of her husband, Vaughn, to provide support for Theatre and Dance program at Keene State College.
  • $25,000 – for a new endowed scholarship from Nelson ’59 and Dorothy ’58 Megna. Sean Gillery worked with the Megnas on the Megna Family Endowed Scholarship, which will support students in the Teacher Education Program.
  • $5,000 — from Charlie ’67 and Christine Zoulias, regular 1909 Society members, to support the Nursing Program and the new teaching lab project.
  • $20, 000 — from Engelberth Construction, the first installment on their very generous $100,000 pledge towards the new TDS Center. Pierre LeBlanc ’78 is president of Engelberth Construction and this company has done many major projects on the KSC campus, including the TDS Center. Jay Kahn and Ken Goebel worked with Pierre and his company on this gift.
  • $2,500 — from former USNH trustee Andy Lietz and his wife Donna as an unrestricted gift to the college, thus continuing their 1909 Society membership.
