On October 4, Nick Germana, History, gave a paper entitled “Freedom Without Equality: The Familial Constitution of China in Hegel’s Philosophy of History” at the 37th annual German Studies Association Conference in Denver.

Germana also has an essay entitled “India and Hegel’s ‘Scientific Method’ in the Phenomenology of Spirit”, forthcoming in Kindred Spirits: Transcultural Encounters between Germany and India in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries (Routledge, 2014).
