Artist-in-Residence Christopher Swist’s 20-minute orchestral work, Abaprima, will be performed by the Louisville Orchestra this Friday, September 13. The piece will be conducted by Marcelo Lehninger, Associate Conductor of the Boston Symphony. This is the second time Abaprima for Orchestra has been performed by a full symphony orchestra within 10 months, the previous performance taking place at Bard Conservatory last December. Swist will be going to Kentucky to attend rehearsals and be at the performance.
