Counseling Center Receives International Accrediation

The Keene State Counseling Center has been accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services, Inc. (IACS), an organization of U.S., Canadian, and Australian counseling agencies. After two years of extensive, directed effort toward this process, receiving “the stamp of excellence” of international accreditation is an enormous accomplishment for the Counseling Center. Full accreditation for KSC’s Counseling Center directly reflects that the entire Center (services, relationships to other departments, staffing qualifications, training program, adherence to professional ethics, etc.) was rigorously evaluated by IACS against the highest standards of counseling practice and was found to demonstrate excellence in the field of college mental health. Approval by IACS is also dependent upon evidence of continuing professional development, as well as demonstration of excellence of counseling performance.

The Counseling Center offers a broad range of emotional health services, including individual and group counseling, consultation, crisis intervention, prevention and well-being programming, outreach, and educational programs.

Congratulations to Brian Quigley and the whole Counseling Center team!
