Major Gifts

From Ken Goebel, Development:

It’s my pleasure to share that Keene Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) has again supported Keene State students with a gift to two scholarship funds. They have donated $2,000 to the Elsa Ware Scholarship and $1500 to the Diversity Scholarship. The local AAUW chapter has been a great supporter of KSC students since 1990, with over $31,000 given in that time. My thanks to the many faculty and staff who are members of the chapter. And, be on the lookout for the AAUW annual Book Sale – set for May 15 – 17 on campus!

The MacMillin Company, LLC, has pledged $6,000 to the TDS Center Campaign in support of the building project. MacMillin is a long established commercial contracting company in the Monadnock Region, now owned by the DEW Construction Company. Daniel Henderson worked with Sarah Kossayda of MacMillin for this gift.
It’s important to recognize that MacMillin chose to support this project even though they were not involved in the construction of the new TDS Center, another testament to the fact that KSC has many friends throughout the region and these friends are able to see the value that the college brings to our state.
The is a three year pledge for $2,000 per year.

And the Travelli/Ayling scholarship support gifts have again been received by KSC. The Alice Ayling Scholarship Foundation has provided $20,000 to be shared by six KSC students and the Charles Irwin Travelli Fund has provided $44,600 divided among 12 KSC students. Dr. Anne-Marie Mallon continues to act as our coordinator for KSC and these scholarship funds and I thank her for her good work with their administrator. Dr. Mallon’s personal commitment to this process and her direct work with KSC students has enabled the college to remain as one of the few public colleges that these funds support. Since 1989, KSC students have received over $3 million in scholarship support from these two funds.
