New Bar Codes Required for Business Reply

The Postal Service is migrating to a new bar code system for Business Reply and Courtesy Reply mail as of January 28, 2013. We are required to use the new Intelligent Mail Bar Code (IMBC) on all of our Business Reply envelopes and cards that we use in order to receive the proper discount. The barcode is the vertical lines that you see on the very bottom of the envelopes. These barcodes contain a lot of information for the Postal Service for sorting and tracking the mail piece.

You will need to update your business reply envelopes as soon as possible in order for us to receive the proper discounts. Please also check your courtesy reply envelopes. If they have a bar code on them already, they will need to be the updated ones.
