Who Are You and What Do You Do?

Who are you? Aileen Chute

What do you do? Systems Administrator, ITG

What do you really do? Along with my two colleagues I am responsible for maintaining our server infrastructure (e-mail, file server, Colleague…anything that is a computerized service on campus, we maintain it)

What else do you do? I own and operate All Good Farm in Washington, NH along with my husband Lionel and two kids, Sydney (5) and Lauren (2). We have a small PYO blueberry orchard, and we grow produce, broilers, and make maple syrup in our “spare” time. Also, sometimes I sleep.

How long have you been here? It will be 2 years in January 2013.

What’s your favorite Keene State memory? On the eve of what was supposed to be my first day at work, a massive snowstorm blew into the region. I was anxiously watching the snow fall and trying to figure out how I was going to explain that I was going to be late to work – on my first day – when classes were cancelled and the college was closed. I’d never worked at a place that would close due to inclement weather!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? I would be in two places at once… because everyone needs to be in two places at once. But then you’d try to do more and you’d want to be in three places at once, so maybe I’ll just settle for having a robot. Well, two robots.
