Ferrucci Named NCTM Chair of Educational Materials

Dr. Beverly J. Ferrucci, Professor of Mathematics, has been appointed by the President of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) to serve as the Chair of the Council’s Educational Materials Committee (EMC). The EMC is responsible for reviewing and approving all written and electronic publications, books, and documents published by NCTM. The Chair of the EMC advises NCTM’s Board of Directors on matters related to the Council’s educational materials program and on new and innovative ideas for projects and publications.

Another of Dr. Ferrucci’s EMC responsibilities is to develop plans for a balanced educational materials program that serves the needs of the 80,000 NCTM members and other stakeholders in US mathematics education.
