Who Are You, and What Do You Do?

Who are you? Lynn Roman

What do you do? I am a graphic designer in the Marketing and Communications Office.

What do you really do? I design marketing materials for the College. I work primarily with the offices of Admissions, Athletics, Development, the Redfern Art Center, the Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery, and many other offices and departments on campus to design and produce the printed pieces they use for promotion. I also design posters, programs, and ads for campus events. I take photographs of campus events to use in our materials. I track projects from concept to making sure the project is delivered to the client.

What else do you do? When I’m not at work I like to walk, take yoga classes, read, swim, garden, and travel (this spring I went to Paris and Rennes, France).

How long have you been here? A little over four years — I started in June 2008.

What’s your favorite Keene State memory? Our offices used to be on the second floor of Elliot; I used to love looking out the window at lunch time and watching the CDC kids having fun in their play yard. They were so cute!

If you could have a super power, what would it be? I think time travel would be fun. I’d love to see what it was like to live in a totally different time in history.
