CKD in Nicaragua
From Becca Berkey:
Please join us for a presentation by La Isla Foundation’s Jason Glaser
Wednesday, March 28
12:30-1:30 p.m.
Mountain View Room, Student Center
The presentation will be a well-rounded introduction and deeper description about the Chronic Kidney Disease epidemic affecting 5 communities reliant upon a sugarcane field for their work and all of the issues surrounding them: human rights, epidemiology, social justice, Nicaraguan government, industrial agriculture practices, etc. Jason will describe all of the organizations involved (the company, the World Bank, ASOCHIVIDA, Boston University, La Isla Foundation), and much more.
