And the Winner Is…

Keene State Dining Executive Chef Richard Ducharme competed and won first place at Sodexo’s Localvore Culinary Challenge held at Rivier College in Nashua, NH on September 21. His Cajun Scallop Duo featured a variety of cherry tomatoes from the greenhouse of campus groundskeeper, Joe Britton. Chefs from eight Sodexo-run area colleges participated in the competition; see the story in the Nashua Telegraph.

Chef Ducharme also took first place at the Chowder Challenge held September 25 in Sunapee. His winning chowder recipe will be served on a Friday in October in the Zorn Dining Commons.
