Professional Activity

Brian Green and Niall Moran (Sociology/Anthropology) attended the national conference of the American Sociological Association in Las Vegas from August 19-22. Brian Green presented two papers at the conference. The first, co-authored with Peter Stevenson (Sociology/Anthropology) and entitled “Teaching Sociological Concepts through a Central European Study-Abroad Program,” focused on reviewing the authors’ lessons learned from several years of offering an international study abroad course through Keene State. That paper was delivered in a section focused on experiential learning. The second paper presented by Green focused on a quantitative analysis of factors related to international freshwater disputes. Professors Green and Moran attended many regular presentation sessions and also met with potential candidates interested in applying for a tenure track professor position in sociology.
